Jeanne Marler studied under Daniel Briant and Hélène Béland at the Montreal art school Mission Renaissance. She has been painting in oils for over twenty years. Her work is in private collections in Canada, The United States, Great Britain and Greece. Her paintings appeal on many levels and are often personal, reflecting her love for the subject matter and her desire for the onlooker to take time to appreciate the beauty of what surrounds us.
Margaret Davis, a Blue Badge tour guide of art museums in London (Tate Modern, National Portrait Gallery, etc.), wrote to a mutual friend regarding a card of Jeanne’s painting, Vermillion River, “Your friend’s painting talent is spectacular. I’m looking at the card now and it is quite stunning…. How exciting to have such an artist as a friend…”
